Fort Johnson

Framed size: 27x18.5in  Sept. 15, 1775 South Carolina soldiers rowed across the Charleston Harbor and took over the fort after the British had fled. My painting shows the first time the Liberty flag being raised for the first time. It was designed by William Moultrie and flew over Fort Sullivan during the Battle of Sullivan's Island June 28, 1776
